This statement added 1 June 2008.

Although I now live in Butler, Pa. which is Butler County Pennsylvania, basically nothing has changed with the Westmoreland County
Department of Public Safety's Radio System in the last 2 years.

It is still one of the MOST EXPENSIVE systems out there, and IMO the way it was
installed by Staley Communications, it remains to be one of the POOREST EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS
currently in use ANYWHERE !

I stand by that statement, which is not only personal, but also a PROFESSIONAL STATEMENT.

I wrote a Blog on this communications system that totals 100's of entries.
Everything I wrote in there from 2006 and on STILL APPLIES, it is still a "crappy" system.

Now in Butler, Pa. where the Butler Department of Emergency Management has ONE KICK ASS SYSTEM.
400 Mhz is the way to go.
Hopefully soon I will have a separate website up for Butler County, as I do for Westmoreland.
